Condolence: One of my greatest memories of coming to Georgia as a teenager was riding to deer camp with mr. Vince and he let me and Steven drink home made wine. I still to this day wonder if he was just trying to teach us a life long lesson. That had to be the most I have ever laughed. I think we laughed the hole way. One thing is for sure I will always remember the memories I made up there as y'all treated me like family. Y'all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: While I have to many fond memories of Mr. Cribb, the 2 that stick out most is when the tornado hit Americus. They were still owned by CNHI and the papers for Cordele were printed there as well as the Americus paper. When I got the call from Vince he said he had a plan to get Cordele and Americus printed in Valdosta. Once they were printed he called me back and said there was another problem. All the inserts were in the press room in Americus. He said we have 2 options, the truck can get the inserts to me in Valdosta and you are looking at another 3 hours before you have your papers, or we can have the inserts sent to you in Cordele, our truck can get you the papers and you can insert there. I told him to send them to me we would handle it in Cordele. I was surprised when the truck from Valdosta arrived and Mr. Cribb stepped out of it. Once the truck was unloaded I assumed he would be heading back to Valdosta, being things were still in a mess. But no he wanted to know where he could set up, and he stayed until all 4000 papers were inserted. Then headed back to Valdosta just to find out that the press there had been struck by lightening. He went right fixing the problems, and getting the job done. That was him. The other happened just around Thanksgiving this past year. He knew my mom has cancer and I get a call from him. He said I know we got all these things to work on but I just called to see how your mom is doing. We chatted about her and the treatments and such, then he ask me how I was doing. Hard working, teddy bear. That was Mr. Cribb. To say we are going to miss him is an understatement. Prayers for Cathy, Cali and the entire family as you learn to live life without him.

Condolence: What a good life cut short. My family knew Vince and his family many years ago. I moved away and lost track but am now learning how he really made a good life for himself. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. May God comfort the entire family during this time.

Condolence: My deepest sympathies go out to Vince’s family. I had the pleasure of working with Vince when we started with the ad hub in 2016. I worked closely with him during out setup and testing all of the parameters. He was always so knowledgeable and professional and would help with anything I asked of him. Even though I never got to meet him in person, I could tell that he had a passion for his work and a great sense of humor to go with it as we need in this newspaper business. After hearing the sad news I went back through some of my emails with Vince and I had to smile. It didn’t matter how much I asked of him he was always pleasant and would say “Anything for you my Queen”. I’m not quite sure if he was being sarcastic because I was bossy, but it always made me smile. He will be missed.

Condolence: My heart goes out to your family. I have known you since the mid- 80's at the Thomasville Times-Enterprise. We worked together for alot of years and I knew that if I ever needed someone to listen you were just a phone call away. Praying for your family during this difficult time. God must have needed a good pressman for his facility in the sky because he sure has one now.

Condolence: My heart goes out to the family and friends of Vince. I only met him a couple of times when he visited The News Courier in Athens AL, to help us set up when we switched to the ad hub. He was such a kind man, and very knowledgeable at his job. My prayers are with the family during this difficult time, I know he will be missed terribly. May God wrap His loving arms around you all, and give you the peace and comfort that you need.
